Akhil Telugu Movie Review

Akkineni clan Akhil Akkineni hero debut film Akhil has been released today in good number of screens with loads of expectations. Sayeesha Saighal is the lead actress while VV Vinayak is the director and Thaman and Anup Rubens are the music composers of the film. Nithin is the producer of this commercial action entertainer.

Story :-

Akhil (Akkineni Akhil) is a street smart guy who loves Divya (Sayeesha Siagal) and to impress her he goes to Spain with her. In the admist Akhil involves in a tussle between the Russian czar and African tribals who are safeguarding Jua (A Metal Object which is meant for saving the world from years).  Rest of the story is how Akhil plays his smart play with the villains and give his helping hand to tribals forms crux of the story ?

Performances :-

Akhil made a positive debut with this film and shows he has long time to run. He is good at action scenes and dances are awesome on the big screens. He should get better in his Expressions.

Sayeesha Saighal has on-screen chemistry with Akhil and does a clean performance in his debutante act in Tollywood. Sayeesha is trained dancer and she proves with ease in the dances. She is gorgeous in songs.

Brahmanandam is hilarious, Vennela Kishore is good, Mahesh Manjrekar is impressive and Rajendra Prasad is ok. Sapthagiri does his part to his part and others are adequate.

Technical Analysis :-

Thaman SS and Anup Rubens tunes are just ok while Mani Sharma gets the whole credit as his Background score elevated most of the scenes. Cinematography by Amol Rathod is neat and dialogues are apt. The VFX and other Graphical works are very bad to mention. VV Vinayak couldn't handle the good story with pale screenplay and weak narration. Production values are standard.

Analysis:-

First half of Akhil begins with impressive note of fight and song and from then the narration is racy which on-go reveals the main plot of the story. With few entertaining elements this has couple of songs which are well executed. Akhil Akkineni is filled with energy in dances and in action scenes. Pre-Climax sequences leaves curiosity for the later half.

Second half begins with the concept but without a logic in sequences. The story which goes to Africa looses its novelty of International backdrop of the aim saving the world. Main drawback in this half is VFX episodes and comedy with is routine and narration is weak but it is dragged. Climax scenes totally lacks the logic and final plane fight looks silly.

ZC Take :-

Akhil Akkineni does a cool debut but Akhil misses the Goal of a Hero...

Zustcinema Akhil Rating :- 2.75 / 5
