Karthikeya Movie Review

Nikhil and Swathi Reddy starrer Karthikeya movie released on October 25th. Debutant Chandoo Mondeti is the director of this commericial thriller.

Story :-

Karthik (Nikhil) lands in Subramanyapuram for a medical camp and comes to known about the mysterious things happening around Subramanyeswara Swamy temple. People who want to re-open the temple are being ended by a snake bite which makes Karthik interesting to investigate on the whole thing.

Rest of the story is how Karthik knowns the mystery and who's back of the snake forms the crux.

Performance

Nikhil does his part very well as a medico and delivers a good performance all over. His dialogue delivery is aptly suited for such thriller.

Swathi is simple cute in her limited role and ok in the songs.

Tanikella Bharani is good while Rao Ramesh is apt and Jogi Brothers are best to their part. Satya, Praveen are entertaining while others are adequate.

Technical Analysis

Background score by Sekhar Chandra elevate the thrilling moments of the film and camera work by Karthik Ghattamaneni is laudable. Editing is crisp and dialogues are neat. Debutant direction by Chandoo Mondeti is applausable with the thrilling narration.

Analysis

First half of Karthikeya is entertaining with few thrilling scenes. This half is shaped up with all love, comedy, romance and suspense. Nikhil way of dealing with the suspence is showcased well. Interval reveals to second half so that one could stay on the seat.

Second half picks with the secret behind the snake bite and thus the thrilling moments begins. This half lacks pace and some unneccessary scenes disturb for some time. Climax is rushed to the end. On a whole the film as loads of thriller moments to be watched.
