Story
Surya (Naga Chaitanya) leads his life in Autonagar after his parents were brutally killed by Kotilingam while they were in a train journey. Bharani (Sai Kumar), brings him up to fulfill his dream Surya turns to orphan and starts building a vehicle which runs on battery. Being a talented mechanic in Autonagar makes many workers as his followers. He comes to known that Autonagar went in to the control of Indra (Jayaprakash Reddy) and Mayor Kotilingam (Madhu). Rest of the story is how Surya keeps an end to goons forms the crux.
Performances
Naga Chaitanya showed mature acting skills and took the entire show on his shoulders. His dialogue delivery has improved a lot and performance too.
Samantha is restricted to her short role and she has shown a glamorous performance. Her chemistry with Naga Chaitanya is ok.
Sai Kumar, Bramhanandam and Venu Madhav is wasted, Ajay, Jaya Prakash Reddy delivered good performance. Nandu has given his best as Hero’s friend.
Technical Analysis
Background score and songs by Anup Rubens are good . Art Director should be applauded for rustic Autonagar set. Cinematography is impressive. Dialogues are really good which carries the meaning of the script. Editing could be much better. Production values are ok.
Analysis
First half of Autonagar Surya picks up the rebellious attitude of the hero and takes in to the story with interesting screenplay. Comedy comes only at times but the way the story dealt is interesting. Interval scenes are presented good along with the pace in this half.
Second half could be termed as minus to the film with misplacement of songs, pace and run-length. The revenge drama isn’t dealt properly and the screenplay in this half is clinched. This half is completely misguided away from the story which leads audience to run out for the climax and come out to have a strong tea.
