Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Shruthi Hassan and Anjali starrer film Balupu has released today with more expectations. Zustcinema presents Balupu movie review.

Story

Ravi (Ravi Teja), who works as a recovery agent in a bank leads a cool life with his father Nana (Prakashraj) in Bangalore. He falls for Shruthi (Shruthi Hasan), who along with her uncle Crazy Mohan (Brahmanandam) had a habit of cheating the people with their intolerable acts.  Nana and Shruthi’s father (Nasser) gives nod for their marriage. Meanwhile the story takes a turn when Vizag Purna (Ashutosh Rana) enters the scene and reveal the bloodshed past of Ravi in Vizag and also about Anjali (Anjali).

What was the past of Ravi? How Anjali is related to Ravi in Vizag? Whether Ravi ties knot to Shruthi is rest of the story....

Performances

Ravi Teja is well known for his mass performance and his way of dialogue delivery is perfect in mass role. His energetic way of performing the roles are good.

Anjali as a doctor played her best with her facial expressions. She as an innocent girl lived the role with ease.

Shruthi Hassan filled the glamour quotient in the film. She delivered a good performance and shared good rapport with Ravi Teja.

It is worth to say Brahmanandam is big plus for the movie as he entertained utmost as Crazy Mohan. Prakash Raj is good while Ali is wasted, Thagubothu Ramesh is Ok and Ashuthosh Rana, Adivi Sesh are effective.

Technical Analysis

Thaman's musical scores are good and background score is effective in action scenes. Cinematography by Jayanan Vincent is good in songs and dialogues are engaging. Editing could be much better. Gopichand Mallineni has succeeded showing Ravi Teja once again in mass role. Production values are standard.

Analysis

Balupu story takes off with entertaining elements. First half is filled with full to entertainment. Scenes between Ravi Teja, Shruthi Hassan and Crazy Mohan have come out well. Brahmanandam tracks the audience laughs with his Dil Jamping Japak dance moves and "Matallev Matladukovdallev" dialogue from Iddarammayilatho which are enjoyable. Interval scenes are emotional as Ravi Teja and Prakash Raj fights with the goons and leaves the expectations for the later half.

Second half is filled up the flashback episode of Ravi Teja in Vizag and his association with Anjali. The pace of the film lacks at time which tests the patience of the audience. Climax could be much better but on a whole it is Ravi Teja's mass entertainment.

Ravi Teja, Shruthi Hassan and Brahmanandam entertaining elements in the first half and songs picturisation are major highlights in the film.

Second half lacks the pace and dosage of emotion scenes are high and finally ends as a mass entertainer.

My Take :-
Balupu - Ravi Teja's mark of Mass Entertainment

ZC Take :-

Enjoy this weekend with Balupu
