Kabali collections record in USA

$ 4.1 Millions in 1st weekend
Rajnikanth has created record for Indian film premieres in USA when his latest film Kabali collected around 2 million dollars for Telugu and Tamil languages
together. Despite generating a negative talk, Kabali has managed to collect a gross of over 4 million dollars in the first weekend in North America. The distributor CineGalaxy and all the exhibitors are in profits now.

Best per location average

Kabali has opened in the 6th position on Thursday premieres and settled in the 9th position by weekend in the top 10 USA box office grossers of the week. The surprising thing is that Kabali has generated per location average of $17,083 by releasing in 240 locations whereas the number one Hollywood film this week Star Trek Beyond released by Paramount has generated a per location average of $15,173.

5th consecutive million dollar film for CineGalaxy

For the overseas distributor, it’s a million dollar risk prior to release as three biggies of summer fetched enormous losses for Telugu overseas distributors and exhibitors. The action packed trailer has generated tremendous craze for the film and it reached peaks at the time of premieres. Incidentally, Kabali is the fifth consecutive million dollar film for CineGalaxy after Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Nannaku Prematho, Theri (Tamil) and 24.
