Yamapasham Movie Review

Story :- 

Yamapasham story begins when a cautious chemical gets leak which in turn makes a dog to a beast further the dog spreads the virus to the humans which slowly goes viral in the entire town. Meanwhile Karthik (Jayam Ravi) an traffic police in Ooty gets in to trouble when his sister got kidnapped at the time of virus spreading in the town. Karthik who loves Renuka (Lakshmi Menon) a Doctor tries all the means to get cure medicine for the virus as everyone are turning to be zombie. Rest of the story is how Karthik tries to get all issues solved forms the crux...

Performance :-

Jayam Ravi has carried entire film on his should and does a decent role as an Traffic police who does everything for his love. His chemistry with Lakshmi Menon is cool.

Lakshmi Menon as a doctor has given her best performance till date. Her emotions and she is gorgeous in songs.

Kaali Venkat and others are good in their well-itched roles.

Technical Analysis :-

Songs by D Imman is decent and his background score is apt to the proceedings. Venkatesh's cinematography is top-notch with perfect use of colors. Editing could be much better and dialogues are just translated. Shakti Soundar Rajan's direction should be applauded for attempting such genre for the first time.

Analysis :-

At first to speak about the title Yamapasham which doesn't build up and curiosity among Telugu audience as it can be termed to be a low grade film. On a whole Yamapasham is an perfectly written new genre film. Zombie stories are new to India and it is a success formula in Hollywood. First half is interesting with all commercial elements. Second half is interesting but in few places songs play spoilsport. Dubbing isn't good and even logic goes to air while the film nears to the climax. Even the climax has been ended without proper judgement.
