Jayadev Galla, a young MP from Guntur, has been one of the most vibrant and dynamic leaders in the recent days. He got the attention of state and national leaders with his speeches in Parliament and at the same time connected well with the common man. His ability to participate in debates and ask tough questions without hesitation has made him very popular in the social media. Having proven his ability as a successful industrialist, his eagerness to serve the people has been well known in Andhra Pradesh. He was also well known to be the only person followed on twitter by Super Star Mahesh Babu, who is his brother in law.
Hailing from a family of politicians, Jayadev Galla is not
new to this life style. His grand father Sri P. Rajagopal Naidu was a freedom fighter, a two time MP and a close associate of N.G. Ranga. He held historic discussions with Mahatma Gandhi on behalf of farmers. He was also known for bringing our Chief Minister Sri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu into politics and is considered his political guru. Jayadev Galla's mother Smt. Galla Aruna Kumari has been a four time MLA from Chandragiri and served as a minister in three different cabinets. Jayadev Galla's father Sri. Galla Ramachandra Naidu is a successful industrialist and the chairman of Amararaja Batteries.
Jayadev Galla, who was raised in Chicago, where he lived for 22 years, studied politics and economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He returned to India in 1992 and joined his father and started looking after his businesses. With his commitment and hard work, he soon established a large marketing network for Amararaja Batteries and launched their automotive batteries with the brand name Amaron. He has been involved with several non profit organizations raising funds for various causes.
Jayadev Galla chose to enter politics and contested as an MP from Telugu Desam Party from Guntur. He put together a long term plan called "Mundadugu" for developing Guntur. He became very popular in the social media with his unique campaigning style. He won this election with a thumping majority. He has been appointed as a member of Capital Development Committee.
