Well Known actress Anjali Devi died on January 13th, 2014 in Chennai. The Veteran Actress was 86. She was said to be suffering from illness for last couple of days.
Anjali Devi’s original name was Anjali Kumari and her
screen-name given by Pullaiah C ( Director ). She was married to music director P Adinarayana Rao in 1940. Anjali Devi started her career as a theater artist and made her big-screen debut in the year 1936 with the film Raja Harischandra and later on turned as lead herione with Kastajeevi in 1940.
She has won Raghupati Venkaiah award in 2005 and acted in more than 350 films Anjali Devi has also produced few films under her own banner Anjali Devi Pictures banner.
