Dhamarukam sound starts as : 

Damarukam Story
starts from the war ended between Devas and  Asuras and finally left behind Andhakasura (Ravi Shankar) runs away from the war.Malli (Nagarjuna) who is an auto driver falls for  Maheshwari (Anushka) on first sight.

The story moves on to Andhakasura who is in search of Maheshwari who has taken birth on an auspicious panchagraha kootami day.He wants to marry Maheshwari so that he takes on panchabhuthas.The plans how Andhakasura enters Maheshwari house and shows his evil nature to enrich his wishes. On the other side how Malli saves Maheshwari from evil makes the rest of the story ....

Performances:

Nagarjuna as Malli is handsome in his role and new way of dialogue delivery is appreciable.The mass character is carried out very well.Six pack look & Aghora get-up was suitable to Nag and he suits perfect for the role.

Anushka does her Malleswari role at her best even it is limited.She looks gorgeous and looks sensious in songs.Her chemistry with Nagarjuna is seen in romantic songs

Ravi Shankar excelled as Andhakasura a evil aspiror.His performance is a big asset for the film.He is effective with good diction and apt dialouge delivery.

Prakash Raj not suited best for Lord Shiva role.Brahmanandam,Raghu Babu and Krishna Bhagawan left some hilarious laughs in particular scenes.Ganesh Venkataraman is good.

Technical Analysis:

Direction of Srinivasa Reddy is just an average.Music by Devi Sri Prasad is  a big plus for the film.Background score for aghora scenes and for other episodes are amazing.Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is ok and good at songs.DI & Visual effects are not up to the mark.Gautham Raju editing could be much better.RR Movie Makers production values are rich.

Analysis:

The story leaves you behind of Characters and think of main story plot of the film.Even it was interesting  not much impressive screenplay amd makes one to think of Bhaiarava Dweepam and Pathala Bhairavi scripts.First half of Damarukam is not clincthy where characters are introduced and tried for some laughs from audience.

Second half starts with best scenes but seems to loose grip over the story and looses narration.The last 30 minutes of the film is big saving plot of the film.VFX is good at the climax sequences.

The scenes involving Nagarjuna, Ravi Shankar  in between Anushka does well on big screen.Seems to be much better screenplay for such socio-fantasy film.

My Take :

Dhamarukam is a good entertainer,but it could be better if it is executed well.
